Overview
Vodafone Group is the core of Vodafone’s worldwide operations. The organisation supports the activities of the local operating companies by building global products, services, partnerships and initiatives that can be rolled out across the world, giving customers access to solutions locally and globally to improve and enhance their business performance.
The Need
Following a global partnership with one of the world’s leading providers of web conferencing services, Vodafone Group needed a vehicle to communicate the partnership and educate the audience. The key themes of the brief were:
- To ensure the audience understood the reasons behind the formation of the partnership.
- Re-enforce the combined value proposition.
- Give the knowledge and tools to the audience, supported by other marketing collateral, to effectively communicate the benefits of the solution to the customer.
- Clearly position Web Conferencing as a fundamental part of the solution portfolio.
A further challenge was the production timescale of one month, as the module was required for a global product launch. CommsLearning were asked to develop the E Learning module in Flash to meet the business and learning objectives, Vodafone Group’s brand requirements and create a different learning experience than the users were used to.
Working collaboratively with the Vodafone Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), Product Marketing team and Learning & Development, the module was developed using the ADDIE (Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) instructional design model to create a crisp, relevant and interactive learning experience. Using the assets available in Flash we were able to create flowing, crisp learning paths, which allowed the learner the freedom to explore the module in whichever order they wanted to, repeat sections and re-discover content with greater freedom.
As always, the design of the course focussed on the achievement of the business objectives, using a variety of techniques and tools such as video, animations and interactions to keep the leaner focussed and engaged.
